All Teachers Are Parents, But All Parents Are Teachers! This book could be used successfully in interactive parent programs. It could also be used as a simple guide for supporting parents as they mentor their children to strengthen the home-to-school connection. It provides a plan of action for parents and educators to support the process of closing the achievement gap. Mr. Buford's book and his vision of hope for the academic, social, and emotional success of African-American children are truly inspiring. It is time to put forth a plan of action. However, a plan of action must be more than just a written plan. It must be developed, acted upon, and brought to completion. Therefore, let the work begin.
